VolunTeach Peru partners with private, international and IB schools across the country. We provide teaching vacancies for vocational educators and teaching professionals whose main interest is to get international work experience of teaching English or any other subject of expertise for one or two year contracts. The Full Time Teaching Programme requires a minimum commitment of at least one academic year, which starts in February and closes around the second week of December every year. Job Description [General Information]

  • Teach in English

  • Prepare appropriate educational material.

  • Evaluate the students in their care.

  • Comply with the weekly school schedule.

  • Collaborate in implementing actions to achieve objectives of the host School’s Strategic Plan.

  • Maintain up to date educational and administrative documentation.

  • Apply innovative teaching and learning methods and techniques.

  • Detect problems that affect student development and learning.

  • Ensure the well –being and safety of the students.

  • Coordinate and maintain effective communication with parents.

  • Participate in social service activities.

  • Attend meetings, performances and other events in the host school schedule

Person Requirements:

  • Native level of English language skills

  • Teaching Qualification/Licence or Degree in Education

  • Teaching Experience

  • References from two former schools' employers.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent physical and mental health

Programme Overview

  • Dates: Year  round. The Peruvian Academic Year is run along the months of March and December.

  • Duration: One or two Academic Years.

  • Working days: Monday – Friday 7:40 am – 4:00 pm [48 hours per week]

  • Academic Year dates: Early February to mid December

  • Arrival date: By agreement
