Applications are open for March 2022. Teaching Assistantship vacancies are limited, we recruit up to 15 interns every year.

Programme is available along the Peruvian Academic Year only: March to December.

Before you apply

Make sure you have read and understood all the information displayed related to the Teaching Assistantship Internship, the role and responsibilities at school. These will be crucial during the interview on Skype.

Stage 1

  • Fill out the online application form.

  • Send us your CV, cover letter and recent formal photo of yourself to: info@volunteachperu.com

  • A VTP Representative will email respond within 72 hours should your work experience and academic background matches the requirements. 

Stage 2

  • Successful applicants will be shortlisted and contacted by email to arrange a Skype interview.

  • Provide two referees contact details

  • Fill out the Application Essay Form

  • Application status is announced in a 4 weeks frame of time.

When your application is announced successful

You will have between 4 to 8 weeks to submit the requirements of the following documents:

  1. A University or former employer’s Letter of Reference.

  2. Passport copy.

  3. Emergency contact details: parents and or siblings.

  4. Apply for the Child Protection Certificate  (http://www.acro.police.uk/icpc/)

  5. Ask your doctor to fill out the Health Report.

  6. Return flights confirmation to Peru.

  7. Return the VTP Programme Agreement signed.

Before you arrive:

  • Send us a copy of the full details of your Travel Insurance Policy.

  • Send us the apostilled copy of your TEFL Certificate or Degree. (Candidates won´t be allowed to work in Peru should these documents have not been sent on time).
