Followed by our spirit of service and aim of supporting the teaching and learning of English in both, private and public sectors, VolunTeach Peru launched a free after school English Teaching Program in 2012 in the community of Pamplona Alta in the district of San Juan de Miraflores, located in the south of Lima; the capital city. “Hello English” is the name of the workbook we have specially designed to be used in the classes which takes place every Wednesday from 3pm to 6pm.

The Pamplona Project is funded by a percentage of the programme fee VolunTeach Peru receives from the English Teaching Assistant Experience Program. The money helps the organisation to supply classes with teaching materials and worksheets every week. Additionally, children will be part at of the Christmas party we organize [within the support of private help] for them at the end of the year, as a reward of their effort to learn English, attend the classes punctually and be perseverant.

Today, the project remains active and recruiting more children every year. Likewise, VolunTeach Peru is trustee of the Change Live Grow Foundation, a British NGO run by former VolunTeach Peru’s volunteers to tackle poverty in Lima through the execution of sustainable projects.
