If you are interested in getting an international work experience in the teaching field or if you are just thinking on planning what to do next summer or during your university year abroad, teaching in Peru is what we encourage you to do.
The big decision to participate in VolunTeach Peru will allow us to continue supporting Peruvian partner schools, pupils and teachers who will share their classrooms with native speakers of the English language.
Full Time Teaching Programme (Paid):
It provides a £800 to £1,000 monthly salary to the candidate for a 1 or 2 year contract + working visa arrangements. Positions for Physics, Maths, Early Years, Secondary, Science, Chemistry and English teachers are available. Flights and accommodation allowance are covered in some of the cases.
English Teaching Assistantship (paid):
You are welcome to apply if you are not a qualifed teacher but a university graduate or undergraduate with potential skills to help the language teacher in the classroom. It requires a commitment of 6 months (up to 9 months). A monthly salary is provided to help you cover your accommodation and meals whilst in Peru.
Teaching Assistant Experience (voluntary):
Taken mostly for the summer or university year abroad as it requires a volunteer commitment from 5 weeks and up to 5 months. A host family is provided for the candidate who provides them food, accommodation, a real Peruvian family atmosphere and the opportunity to considerably improve their Spanish. Positions are available in several cities of the country.
